Meyer was the first no France rider to win Bordeaux - Paris. But in the US his name will always be sinuous with Buffalo Bill. He and Buffalo Bill competed in a twelve hour race hors against the steel hors (Bicycle) Buffalo Bill would win with a distance of 349 Km, Meyer's distance was 332 Km. He toke the France nationalty in 1898 and changed his name to Charles.
